The Training Session is my second cat painting. Inspired by the way Louis Wain painted cats, I wanted to create a cat piece of my own with a unique twist. Cats have always been one of my favorite animals—and because they hold the biggest fan base of all—I knew it was time I entered into my own era of cat art.

This charming piece plays on instinct and cuteness. Three kittens, their floral-patterned fur giving them the softness of stuffed toys, react in different ways to the hands that guild them. In the shadow of its hole, a mouse observes this strange rehearsal. The Training Session captures a whimsical yet thought-provoking moment, where innocence and instinct collide in a world that feels both playful and profound.
